I've been a promoter for Pumpkin Doodle Babies nursery since 2023 and I've always enjoyed my reborn toddlers and babies from her. However, I decided to branch out with something new...a reborn toddler boy. I've never owned a toddler boy before, so I'm excited for the opportunity. I browsed Kory's previous works, and the Liam sculpt stuck out to me as one of the cutest; so, I went for it. My boy Collin was inspired by this past work:
Of course, no two reborn dolls can be exactly identical (not even twins!) but I must say that my boy came out very close to the inspiration. Collin's hair is a slightly different cut and the texture is a bit coarse, but the stunning eyes and cute sleepy boy expression are the same.
It's been a lot of fun shopping for boy clothes; a change of pace from all my browsing in the girl sections. When I first started collecting dolls, I never had interest in the boy dolls because it was hard to find cute clothes and accessories for them. Now, brands are expanding their offerings and there's lots more options that can be used for all genders. I'm also glad that even though the weather is cooler, they are offering more items than the usual fleece and sherpa materials. I'm happy about this and so is my asthma/allergies!
The Liam sculpt isn't as large as I thought it'd be! Collin is 28" long and weights 14lbs but he is easy and comfortable to hold. Honestly, he is the snuggliest toddler I own, next to Tabitha!
I hope this spell of warm weather holds up so I can get outdoors for more photos with him. I can't wait to see him in some of the cute outfits I've picked up. You can view Collin's unboxing video to see the haul of outfits at the end.
